dave, your grill wont affect your petrol consumption.

if im booting it i only get about 210 out of a 1.4

Check what MPG you are getting on the screen, also what constant MPG you are getting while driving, in my 1.4 Senso I could get on a steady run at 70mpg with a light right foot average 41Mpg but booting it all the time 30.6MPG

Don't forget cost of fuel is higher now and £10 doesn't give you the same mileage as it used to 12 months ago.

On a light foot a year ago you could get approx 95miles to a £10
On a light foot NOW you could get approx 80miles to a £10

Heavy FOOT year ago = 75miles to £10
Heavy FOOT NOW = 61miles to £10

So I hope that helps

Dave he said that a grille will not effect fuel consumption!!!

Things that will effect fuel consumption is short journeys, stopping and starting the car alot, driving very fast, accelerating quickly and unecessary weight.

Not a grille, different paint. diffrent lights etc.lmfao.

Yes. But be careful, it may make you do 32 in a 30 instead of 31.

have you tried diesel instead of petrol, I hear Bump is getting really good MPG in his C2 using Diesel

What colour is yours?

Silver ones are best as they are more aerodynamic.

Black ones are heavier so use more fuel.

Red ones go faster so use more fuel.

Green ones are ugly so use more fuel. Blue ones are colder so they use more fuel to warm up.

Pink ones use more fuel cos they're embarrassed and blush more.

Yellow ones look like sick so they use more fuel cos they don't feel well.

I've heard that it you drive around in reverse with the hand break on it increases your mpg.

Sould i take off grill mesh bottom more air?

spsamsp
12-10-2008, 08:32 AM
Yeah, and take the airbox out and the exhaust off, it's just added weight! and if you stay in 1st gear and stick at the top speed in that gear then you will save petrol cos you will be going slow :)

i think hes right, other things like aluminium tax disc holders decrease your fuel. try and make sure you dont have a small hole in your petrol tank as this is no good either.

things like changing your head unit and brushing your teeth twice a day ensure you have a gd average MPG.

350? Most I can get is 310ish and that's driving rather conservatively, pretty damn hilly round here though I suppose.
On an average tank I probably get 280/290.

Dave it is your driving or you have a huge petrol leak somewhere.

I have had 320miles out of a tank in the VTS but I drove like a nutter
I got 200 miles and hot tyres, all this with the best looking mesh grill
ever to be put on a C2 in the whole wide world 10/10

P.S. Black painted C2's are better than any other colour C2 :P

dave1
15-10-2008, 08:52 PM
OK now! Back to normal petrol slow go to down petrol. Now i remove grill mesh bottom.

I dunno if you should be in a C2, maybe a toy car in a mental institution would be a better place for you?
