Hdi Turbo On A Petrol C2....Hmmmmm

one thing i dont understand is why people dont put turbos on c2's its been mentioned so often cos ive the shedaxo rudie boy crue get a sniff, but we dont why? i know the ecu is a concern, but what would be hard about makin a fabricated manifold to fit a Hdi vts turbocharger???

as dave said it would most likely be all trail and error, theirs a guy on c2sc whos building up a rather mean n/a gt and hes spent a hell of alot over a long period of time

First of all, the ECU needs adapting, which means in real terms go.

Then the Diesel turbo is unsuitable for the job.

Crank and conrods are getting on the weak side.

Manifold needs to be done, air intake revision, adding of intercooler amongst quite a few other things. By the time you exceeded the 5k mark you give up with a project that will never run properly without spending time every week.

gotta say while I am all for the theory of buy a faster car and i do partly agree, you could always take the other option of struggle, spend the money and be different. I did and ended up with a 2500W souns system, PS2 and pop out screen in a scooter, it was something different :-)

lol i still got my scooter round my mates garage, i keep meaning to get it out and do it up as a cheap project. it was stolen and recovered twice lol
