i have finally fitted sound system and it sound awesome! thing is I have one amp powerin the whole thing...and i have got the interferance whine. i believe it is cos the power lead is too close to the speaker wires...is there a quick fix to it in that i can do like wrap the power cable in something or something?
Please help it os so annoying! :mad:

run the RCA and speakers cable down the other side of the car, could also be because of a cheap amp, but as its the Vibe amp it should be okay.

ok will do dont think we will be able to do it today tho, not sure if we have time or energy to rip seat out again!is there somewhere to get the power cable from the battery to the amp without goin through the gromit in the door?cos that will be another thing adding to it?cos the door speaker cable also runs throught there...

there is a gromit behind the engine/air box its what the aircon uses it you aint got it, otherwise you are looking at the bonnet release wire gromit but I aint used this one

hmmm well we will move it to there cos at the moment, the power lead is running under my seat mangled with all the rca adaptor and phono leads etc...so will send the power lead another way.sound good when i turn it up above the whine noise tho! :-)

You need an inline ground loop isolator wich just plugs though your audio lead between your HU and Amp.
I had this problem on my old car. It is caused through interfearance with your alternator. When you rev the engine you will expperiance a whiring noise in time witht he engine reving, that sound about right?
Get the one from Maplin because the Halfords one is cack - thats from experience.
