Had another whistle on my VTS, was there for a few weeks, as i kept checking the bolts, all was fine...so was a bit confused...anyway, later i found thta it was the manifold header, so took it in to be checked, and they found 2 pins had broken off! so re-sealing and replaced it, and all is good.

So its not just the bolts? the VTS engine design obviously cant cope with the power and weight being put through it

jesus christ! Things like this are terrible!

Get a pic up of the manifold with arrows on where to check.. i think i can hear some sort of whistle.. my vts sounds supercharged lol... my inlet fanny bolts are fine though.

Another fault! 8O

Really, i do feel for VTS petrol owners, there basically being sold a car thats NOT correct, and Citroen are laughing to the bank with their well earned money, something that is precious today to everyone due to the credit crunch. Someone with a bit of time on their hands should seriously start up something to send into Watchdog and trading standards, Citroen are a complete joke imho to not notice the bolts were a problem before selling the cars, now something else which isnt correct on the engine design.

Hi there. I'm quite new here and just started to read about this funny whistle...My 55reg VTS makes a lot of it. Whould it be possible to get some pics to find out where exactly I should check the problem, please. Thanks a lot.
