[Short Notice] - Mini Meet TOMORROW: Colchester, Essex

Hi guys,

My missus started to organize a mini-meet for our club but wasn't very well this week (and I wasn't allowed to keep arranging it :oops:). Anyway, I can now reveal that 3-Cubed.net are hosting a mini-meet in the Colchester area this Sunday (tomorrow).

"The plan will be to meet at Cowdray Avenue McDonalds, then we can either head up into Castle Park or we can go to a pub i know of in Eight Ash Green which will cater for us all!! Then head over to Tollgate or Whitehall for some photos!!"

Hopefully our boy with the SLR camera will be available for some snaps (he also has a Supra); we can all have a jolly nice time getting to put faces to names and all that jazz. Secretly, I'm holding out for a vanilla milkshake.

Kicks off at 3pm/4pm tomorrow - time to be confirmed. It will be published on 3-cubed first, but you don't need to be a member to turn up :)

"PostCode is CO1 1US alternately use CO1 1YN (Halfords) - the retail park it's on is just over the road from McDonalds. If you use Googlemaps you can have a ganders at what I mean!

Obviously there's no building number - I would imagine most of you will come off the A12 and drive past Porsche/Ferrari garages and head onto the Ipswich Road (Rovers Tye pub opposite the roundabout). Bottom of the road there's a set of traffic lights and a double round about; directions/sat nav will make you take the second exit on the first roundabout (so a right hand turn) then down Cowdray Avenue. Just before a set of traffic lights you'll see a lovely little lane to turn into the McDonalds/Leisure World area. You'll see the blue and green flumes a mile off"

If you want me to take a screengrab of the area via Google Earth/Maps then I can, the first postcode is further down the road so you have to scroll to the right to find the location. Neither postcode has a housenumber or building name I'm afraid - Halfords is Unit B if that's any help.

I'll be there from 3pm and have invited people to start arriving from 3.15pm. If I'm not in the car I'll be in McDonalds getting a milkshake ;) There's alot of Frenchies coming tomorrow actually - we may have two Supras, a couple of Fiestas, Astra Coupe, an ST..two ST's infact and our guy with the SLR should still be popping down sometime!

Looks like a good day, however I'll have to suss out the carpark situation when I turn up. Worst case scenario is that I redirect people to Cowdray Centre which is over the road.

Thanks to Mat, Chris, Craig and Mikey + female companion (sorry I've forgot your name!!)..I think it went well just a shame some of the 3cubed lot didn't turn up, nor did the few from Saxperience but you win some, you lose some.

After going back to Colchester (Esso garage!) we nipped back to mine before going back to Weeley (where we went to the pub, near Clacton..wherever the fuck that is ;)) and there must have been an accident on that roundabout as there was a 3mile queue not going anywhere, plus two ambulances. We took a detour and could see the main road from Clacton was at a stand-still and eventually it backed up to outside Sam's!
