Matlock was just a suggestion, its *quite* a nice place, quite busy, big car park. Yes, quite a lot of bikers but not normally at night.. especially with the "illuminations" on.

There has been 3 meets at Matlock with this club, parked up at HOA. 1st meet had a high attendance, the other 2 were average, under 10 cars but enough to have fun. Might be worth having another shot there to get the ball rolling of meets again

right ok, if we are to get a meet going at some point we may as well have a list of people who would be interested in meeting in say Derby since its fairly central. If people interested in meeting post their name/town/county and e-mail address then i'll edit the first post and add a list of names up. I dont suggest there's much point of meeting before spring time when we can get some good pictures but this is just so we have a rough idea of numbers :).

It's Derby County football stadium just off the A52 between Nottingham and Derby.... it's easy to get too.

Now even at 6 that is a **** poor turnout by any accounts, now I know the modified nationals is on so sadly Cozzi cant make it but I bet the rest of you aren't going there. The following all showed interest in coming....

now... if everyone turned up that would be an epic 22 people, now that is obviously never going to happen, but if everyone keeps putting off from putting their names down because they want to wait until more people confirm then we'll never have a decent turn out! (snowball effect). There's loads of us in the area and if you can't make it then i'm sure we'll arrange other meets but if people could at least say whether they are coming or not it would be most helpful. Otherwise there's no point in even trying. (I know some people wont have read the thread yet since this meet was arranged so i'm not moaning at everyone :P )

I also know that there's numerous people who have not spoke on this thread that are also nearby up in Mansfield and east Leicester way that could also make it. This is a great opportunity to see other people from the forum and check out others cars and modifications and also means any bigger meets in the future you will be more likely to attend because at least then you'll recognise some people.

On a final note doesn't matter whether you are in a C2, Seat or even one of those Korean Coupes ;) , all is welcome and be good to see other cars.

im from Bentilee in Stoke-on-trent. im sure i could come with my red C2 GT if i knew how to get to matlock and... how far away it is from where i live?

and id like to say, all that my car has done to it is cituning 35mm lowering springs and a cituning stainless exhaust. so its nothing over the top yet... but only bought it like 3 weeks ago.

about half an hour, it's on the A52. If you come to derby via the A50 it's very easy to then get to once you get on the Derby ring road, I can put up maps etc later on. If you want check it out on multimap the postcode is DE24 8XL.

The reason derby was chose was because we have lots of people in stoke, derby and nottingham and obviously derby is bang in between the 3, if the meet is succesful then sure, the next one can be in stoke depending peoples preferences.

MRHBLUE your car is in your avatar yes? did you get it from leek road garage.. the Hyundai holdcroft one?/is it a 1.4 furio? if it is, i put a deposit on that, advertised at £3595 but was going to get it for £3000 depending how much work needed to be done, then they phoned and said the headgasket had blown :/ and wanted more for it :/
