ok Where do you top the gearbox oil up on a VTR? As Chambers has lost a bit in the process of doing his coilies

just a guess here but wudnt it be ontop of the gearbox? have a mooch around see what you can see

When I enquired at the stealers about an oil change I was told it was a sealed unit..

no pics till tomorrow, they are crackign and the such but I assume thats settleing. For now Im having a Maccy D's and then a well earned shower

Sorry to bump the thread, but where is it lol 8O ? No one answered the question. I've got a MK1 VTR and I have no idea where to top up the gearbox oil.
Also, is there anywhere to check how much is in their?

Asked the local Citroen dealers same thing--he looked it up and told me --you guessed it :lol: ----sealed unit , Mk 1 same as you , I remain to be convinced--he was also very vague when I asked him about why the oil warning light came on gave three beeps and went away intermitantly till the car warms up--accompanied by much clattery engine noise (it's probably an old duff oil filter which I changed yesterday anyway)--I found that out from this site--confidence at dealer level not inspired .
