HID is pretty expensive, you've got to buy a kit and fit it all.. It's not just the bulbs.

H4/7 are just the fitments of your bulbs..

If you go on this site, it'll tell you what bulbs are what.

http://www.autobulbsdirect.co.uk/home.php

Hope that helps.

Yeah they are double filament bulbs mate. The C2's standard bulbs are very poor, It made a big a difference with the xenon ones.

Sounds good mate, they would say they weren't road legal. there dead easy to fit, just take the rubbery black cover off pull the white connector of the back of the bulb then unclip and pull it out. the nearside ones a bit of a pain, just cause there is less room to get your hand in there.

That's how to fit the H4's isnt it.. Are the Sidelights harder though because them bulbs look tiny :(

Cooper
16-10-2008, 07:32 PM
Yeah it is mate. You'll see a huge difference when there in. haven't changed the sidelights yet, but I think you just pull it out from the headlight housing then I think you just pull it out of the connector and pop the new one in.

I've just fitted mine here at work in my lunch break..

Yeah, their really good.

I'll probably just keep them until I change the car now. I was thinking about HID's but i'm getting a Mini CooperS in a couple of years so will just have them on that.

The actual bulb when it's not lit is blue, but when i've got them turned on it's like a white light.

22-10-2008, 11:33 AM
i never get pulled for them and i drive around like the way my car is in my sig :P nah never, i have only been pulled over for the blue side lights once, and that was because i was already pulled over ! :D plus theyre illegal so dont drive with them now, just the halo rings when i feel a bit sporty every so often :P even tho my car does 0-60 in a year and a half :)

was thinking of getting LED sidelights, do you get any warnings flash up with them or any other problems due to them needing less power to work? and jonnyW why do you want a cooper S, there alot of money for what they are. they look ok i suppose. But I suppose I have a soft spot for the classic (real) mini and you can't really call a car thats as big as it is a mini.

Not sure, really.

I love them.. Their really quite quick, especially with a few choice modifications. And I love the way they look. Not the newest one, the MK1 New Mini 8)

Yeah.. It'll be in 2 years time so maybe prices might come down abit.. And hopefully insurance won't be too much.

Which of these two do you think would produce the best results. By best results i mean whitest/brightest results.
