Possibly meet at about 3.00pm at a location in Cannock (Staffordshire) (Pray for good weather)

Small chat and Photo's, possible mini cruise, then good pub and drink and pub meal, and more talkie talkie.

Ignore the Big Red Circle that is just showing the Centre of CANNOCK.
If you zoom in to 1:25,000, you will see the junction/island expained below.
So when you come off the M6 at Jn 11, take the turning towards cannock (A460), keep going down the A460 until you get to the longford island, this is at the Junction of the A5 (Watling Street) and A4602 (Avon Road)

Next point to go to has been suggested by Laura.

Sutton Park, this is approx 14miles away, 25mins Drive (Due to quite a few speed cameras), this would be a good place for photos. We will then find a good location around there for a bite to eat and drink and chat.
What is everyones opinion on this?

Possible Agenda For Sunday 7th May

1. Meet @ Halfords Cannock (3pm)
2. Hang around for people to turn up (3.30pm latest)
3 Drive to Big Car Park by Shugborough Hall, Stafford (about 15mins)
4. Photo's and possible look around Cannock Chase for a bit or even drive up the long drive to the Hall and see if they will let us park and take photo's
5. Leave at about 5pm / 5.30pm
6. Drive down A5 to Pub (SPREAD EAGLE) (About 15/20mins)
7. Drinks / Food /Chat
8. Goodbyes and sees again.

How does that sound to everyone?

This is located just off the Longford Island Cannock, we will then continue on to another location once all gathered.

3 Drive to Big Car Park by Shugborough Hall, Stafford (about 15mins)
4. Photo's and possible look around Cannock Chase for a bit or even drive up the long drive to the Hall and see if they will let us park and take photo's
5. Leave at about 5pm / 5.30pm
6. Drive down A5 to Pub (SPREAD EAGLE) (About 15/20mins)
7. Drinks / Food /Chat
8. Goodbyes and sees again.

How does that sound to everyone?

Right here is a the route for the day.

As you can see not to bad driving for the day Max of 25miles. All main roads.

Will be ringing the Pub and Shugborough later
A) To see about reserving tables for food.
B) About using the Halls Car Park for FREE (normal costs £3.00 each car), will try and get them to let us do a photo shoot with the hall as a backset, and tell them we will publicise it on our club site.

OK, just been on the Shugborough Hall Website LINKY (http://www.shugborough.org.uk/home-10) and looked into Parking there for photo's, they say it is £3.00 per car PARKING.
So I have now sent an e-mail off to the admisions department to see if we can get to park for free in the car park, or even in front of the hall for a photo shoot.

Waiting to see what they say, hope this comes through should look good with the hall in the background.

I have read through your site, and think the location and house is wonderful.

I was wondering if it would be possible for our Citroen C2 Car Club to visit your hall this Sunday 7th May, and possibly take some photos of our cars lined up in-front of the Hall.

But if this is not possible just park up in the car park for FREE and have the Hall as a backdrop to our photo-shoot. We will only be there for approx. 30 - 45 mins

We were planning on passing the hall at approx. 3.45pm next Sunday 7th May, on our route back to Gailey, there will be approx. 14 cars (NOTE, we are not boy racers)

We would use the photo's as publicity for our clubsite and would love to have photo's taken with the Hall in the background.

Our club site is designed for the All new Citroen C2 enthusiasts and not for MAD CAR RACERS.

The mansion house does provide a fantastic backdrop for a photo shoot. As Sunday is our busiest day of the week your party would need to be chaperoned especially as you require vehicle access to the front of the mansion house (this is usually a vehicle free zone). We would have to ask a member of staff to come I especially for this reason therefore I would ask your party to cover the costs for this.

Straight down road and down slight hill (speed camera near bottom)
Come to next big island, (4th exit) basically right around and back-on yourself (HALFORDS is there, watch out for the speed humps into the carpark)

Ignore the Big Red Circle that is just showing the Centre of CANNOCK.
If you zoom in to 1:25,000, you will see the junction/island expained below.
So when you come off the M6 at Jn 11 (From South bound), take the first turning off the island towards cannock (A460), keep going down the A460 until you get to the next island take the second exit A4602 towards Cannock and A5, this will take you all the way to the Longford Island (the island is on the Junction of the A5 (Watling Street) and A4602 (Avon Road)

Excellent, try and come, its not going to be as expensive as the last two meets, nothing really to pay for this time, only fuel and food (depends what you eat), the last two meets cost more because of the visits to Heights of Abraham and West Midlands Safari Park.
