in past experience , no it wont make a blind bit of difference

On a VTS I would of expected about 2-3bhp more due to a slightly better air flow.

Also when you have the car serviced, you will save on replacement one being fitted.

Dont really know whether to get one of these or a closed inuduction kit, had a viper on my old clio.

I have a K&N panel filter on my VTS HDi and it didnt make a great deal of impact but did improve the pull mid range, but thats on a turbo diesel so the petrol would be a different feel I would agree with Simon in saying 2 to 3 bhp increase.

An enclosed induction kit would make much more of a difference.

im going for a panel filter gonan smooth out any restrictions in the airbox and fit a cold air feed, ive been told its much better for creating torque

i had a bmc panel filter, on my vtr and i noticed a good mid range pull improvement, but save ur money and get a bmc cda, its made a huge diffrence to my motor, best 170 i spent

Ive got a K&N Pannel on my GT, Couldnt tell any diffrence tbh, Pickup of the engine is much better, Uses about the same amount of juice, More poke on the Motorway imo, No more noise, its a lot slimmer than the stock one.
Makes my exhaust pop now When i rev it a few times :D never did it before.

So no different except:

Engine pickup better
No change in MPG
More poke on motorway
Makes exhaust pop

Thinking of changing the stock one on my Furio for K&N

How many miles u done mate? mine had done about 16K from new when i changed mine, need serviceing in november anyway, so should need to replace it :D

Car sempt really pokey today :D

Warmer air being thinner so engine has to pull more in :D so less restriced.

Get one mate, there pre oiled and everything :D just take old one out and put it in :D

Here's my vts with only a k&n panel filter. Pretty sure it pops a little on the standard filter tho?
