Hey guys, my stepdad is due for gettin a new company car, and would like your expertise on which car to get, his decision has come down to the Toyota Corolla VVT-I 1.6 16v 3dr or the Mazda 3 TS2 1.6 16v 5dr

I would go for the Mazda 3 if I had the option. Its a bit more fresher than the Corolla and I actaully think it looks better too.
Also, taking a wild guess here, the Madza would probably be better the drive than the Corolla as it has the New Ford Focus chassis, and that is a great car to drive.

Couldn't agree more Jim, definatly looks better, and it has more extras than the corolla, plus ill be insured on it, thats why i want all your expertise opinions hehe

Also like to add the Corolla is a perfect car if you just want a car to work properly (hint hint citroen ;) ) and get to A to B, but have that when you can have the Mazda

Yeah, iv heard good things about Toyota's, that they are really reliable :)

Well yeah, theres lots n lots of cars in the range, i'd say about 100 cars to choose from, different makes and models and specs etc
but my stepdad has picked out the mazda and the corolla as his favourites
i liked the vauxhall astra myself, or the VW golf, but hey!

They had the C2, and the C4 VTR - but i didnt want him havin a C2, as i have the GT, and my mum has the LX!
I like the Corolla T-Sport, or whatever its called. The twin cam one. I think its quite a cool looking car too.
I know I know. My opinion is different to yours, and therefore wrong ... But hey. I don't care

i do like the corolla's, cause they come pretty sporty, with the side skirts on etc

74bhp in a heavy car like the Golf! 8O
VW having a laugh, cant believe they sell a car with that amount of horsepower in a small hatchback!

i know mate, im shocked - checked it up on the parkers website, cant believe its so low bhp, thats like equivelent to a 1.2/1.4

My mums Pluriel has 75bhp, ok only 1 more big deal lol, but 74bhp in a Golf that will probably cost in the excess of £15000, what are they playing at!

toyota engines are way way more better built than mazda (which lets face it, is owned and made my ford)

i might pursuade him to get the VW golf sdi, just to see how slow it actually is
but ill make it out to him that its like 150bhp, so he falls for it

I prefer the Mazda. My parents test drove one as well as the Corrola, and the Toyota is boring to drive, unlike the Mazda.
