I am arranging this for Rachel as this may be her final meet, as she moves back to Wales the week after.

A good turn out would be appreciated!

The main attraction there is the 'Heights of Abraham'

Admission prices are as follows:

Adults £9.50
Children £6.50 (5-16 years)

NOTE: If 20 or more paying people turn up on the day, there is a slight reduction in cost, being:

Although the prices are not that cheap, especially to families that might attend, the visit can last a few hours to get out money's worth.

she said we can use her staff car park to park in, cos the prob with matlock is its a nightmere to park!!!!

We parked in the Railway Car Park but it's not cheap!

I'm 95% probably gonna make it to this one, just gotta see that I can leave my car at my cousin's house for the week afterwards before I'm back down South for Easter.

Meet at 9am at Travelodge Alfreton Located At the Junction of the A38 and the A61 On Old Swanwick Colliery Rd, 3 Miles from Junction 28 of the M1.

Travel in convoy to Malock bath

Arrive aprox. 9.45am

Park up at the large car park opposite the midlands pub (will have to pay unfortunately) From here we can get the cable cart and be lifted to the HOA – (heights of Abraham)

Tour round the place for a bit,

The HOA is not very big so at 1p.m. ish, processed down the hill (cable cart or on foot) into Matlock bath strip walking along all the shops and amusements. (Maybe sneak a quick ice cream)

Back to the cars 2pm ish

Travel in convoy to *Cromford mill arriving aprox 215pm….ish
(there is a nice picnic spot here with a canal and lots of space for the cars).

Have picnic.

Then if time have a look round the mill its only small but free! I think? (the mill that is!!)

Take some photos again
Finally travel in convoy back to Alfreton Travelodge (5pm aprox) to the A38 so you can all find your ways home.

Matlock is renound for its club meet mainly bikers, but i have seen others, i was there one time last year and saw a convoy of about 20 deloreans (from back to the future)

if you wanted to drive up to brum in convoy with me on the saturday you're welcome to crash on my floor so you ent got such a long drive or an early start on sunday. only thing is parking could be an issue, tis right in city centre so spaces are limited.

I think we were at the HOA for about 2-3 hours, so maybe 2ish?

It is also Mothers Day, so a lot of pubs will be booked/very busy ;0

AA alway seem to have long time scales, it wont actually take you that long. They are going by 60mph on the motorway and 30mph on other roads. I'm sure you wont be sticking to those?

Praying I manage to turn up, if this stupid car stops making strange noises and the bl**dy battery light stays off...... Hope noise is fixed by next Tuesday (booked in garage for investigatio, possible new front brakes and pads), but still on-going saga about the battery light, they keep saying nothing found on diagnostics and even when I mention that it is a known fault and quite a few C2's that I know off this site have had the alternator changed they still give me a blank expression....

Im sure u will make it make :D
