Because spark plugs dont come preset to your cars spec, they are and average setting normally, if the gap is incorrect you will lose performance and ecomomy.

And part numbers for all them are 5962 7Q.< Sad :(

unless you have modded your engine so much that you have altered your compression ratio there is no need to alter the gap on the plugs
do yuo think there is some bloke at shitroen check the spark plug gaps before they slap them in. as long as u swap them like to like surely it dosent matter
and as u might notice ur gap setting are all the same for diffrent engines so i cant see what ur on about .
i no ur supposed to check new plug gaps due to the being coated with Platinum and gaping can scrape the surface

DOESN'T MATTER - Lol
CAN'T SEE WHAT I AM ON ABOUT - EVEN FUNNIER

Right where shall I start, Yes spark plugs are supposed to be set correctly at the manufactures, but do you think that during there time of being transported all over the world some JOBS-WORTH doesn't 'KNOCK' / DROP them and change the electrode settings while they are being delivered to the SHOP? (Oh of course they are treated like Cristal Glass, NOT)

The reason for checking the gap before you install them is to ensure optimin performance of the spark and to stop premiture wear and tear of the Spark Plug.

So if you think you know better than Citroen and all the Spark Plug Manufactures why the Gap has to be checked for the correct distance then feel free to waste performance and change your plugs more regularly.

Also on another factor the Coil packs on the engines like to be balanceed , and if you are getting a Smaller / Bigger spark due to incorrect gap settings, then this can also cause wear and tear to the electronic coil pack due to different spark currents produced.
