Yorkshire Dale Meet - Tan Hill 1st December

Been speaking to a few people and theres seems to be a want for a meet in the North East before Christmas so I am looking to sort one out for the start of December either the 1st or the 2nd.

Then we have the choice of where it would be, we can either go Newcastle way or North Yorkshire Dale way (probs up towards the Tan Hill, highest pub in England) my choice would be the Dales just cos I know some great roads down this way, great views for photos and the Tan Hill does a not bad meal also.) Obviously if Newcastle was the favoured route then someone would have to point us in the direction of places to go

EDIT: Looks like there would probs be more interest if its was a date and place ready chosen and as most people just want a meet and dont mind where or what day we will make it the 1st @ The Tan Hill pub.

This is a loveley place with great road around nearby. Just outside of Reeth near Richmond.

Looks like we have enough people to make a meet of it, is everyone okay to meet up there at about 11 or are you all wanting to meet somewhere easy (like Scotch Corner) before hand and then drive up?

I walked that road one night cos me and a mate got the Yaris stuck, he was convince the A66 was quicker to walk to than back to Richmond, 8 hours later it clearly wasnt lol

Had a drive up today at about 4:00, came in dark very quickly but went in search of snow, which we found at the pub. Came in dark and the snow really REALLY started to come down

We will be at Scotch Corner at 10:30 and should get to the Tan Hill around 11, gives us a nice casual drive there.

Will do mate had another drive up there today got stuck behind a car but he soon got the idea and pulled over lol

Its roughly 25 miles from Scotch Corner just so people know.

Also I will remind you on the day but there is a hump back bridge, you will know the one I mean cos you can see it in the distance but any faster than 40 mph and you will take off, quite scary :s

hey soz 4 the delayed reply, yeh it wudda been me, i always down there. saw u at mcdonalds in aycliffe too the other week, i was in jons 106 gti parkef next to my m8s saxo. u prob cnt remember. wats the details 4this? dont think i can make it, bit far from home 4 me cuz its my daddys birthday so hav to b back earlyish so wont b worth it. x
