When all the way to ipswich on sunday night and got this...
(Y) 2001 Seat Arosa 1.4 16v (100bhp) Full Service & Mot history and HPI checked. He advertised it for £2650 i managed to get him down to £2080 due to the fact there was a lil parking scratch in the wear bumper and passenger window didn't open. But my mate gave the window a push today it worked again.
Looked in the user guide to find out that first owner was from Eastbourne and the car was from Seat Hastings. Basically brought the car back down south.
I had to get another insurance policy out and wasn't allow to use my no claims again as it was on my C2. But was only qouted £475 fully comp for the year.

yep only doing some basic mods to make it stand out abit.
Lowering
Tints
Induction Kit
Wheels
Exhaust
It handles pretty good for what it is. Very lights as there is no massive door cards and that.

Induction Kit
Pipercross £70.99
K&N 57i Induction Kit £58.99
Powertec £94.99
Panel Filter
DNX Rectangular Panel Air filter £39.99
What you peeps reckon i should do?

Got bored in the workshop the other day so i painted my engine plastic cover.
this is how i did it.
1) Remove cover screws with a 5mm allen key.
(Pop out the badges)
2) Used a scotch pad to key the surface of the cover, at the same time you could use panel wipe. Panel wipe will clean off any oils or dirt from the engine.
3) Plastic piimer it putting 3 coats on max.
4) Used 800grit wet and dry paper wet sanding all the bumps that maybe in the pimer. By now it should be all smooth.
5) Panel wipe it again so it clean and ready for the paint.
6) Mix your 2K paint together. Spray one light coat and one heavry coat of paint.

You dropping it on coilovers?
Should get a set of them JOM ones, they are quite cheap. Is meant to be a seller on ebay who is accepting down to £160 for them. They are meant to be good value for money. Alot of people on one of the VAG websites have them. Check them out.

Right spent about 4hours or so in the workshop making a start on my front bumper.
Took me like 20/25 mins to work out where the screws was to remove the front bumper in the end i got there so wasn't too bad. Making sure i kept all the screws and bits in a mixing cup. (kept kicking it over lol)
Then got a air saw/blade cutter out and cut the section that needed to be out and welded back.
Once i got the sections out i got some 80grit sandpaper and remove the paint off the bit i'm gonna plastic weld to. The sections that i cut out i also grinded slight smaller.
Now i had to check on the back of the bumper to see what plastic rods i needed for this sort of plastic which was PP. Some plastic bumpers are made out of ABS plastic.
This bit took me ages needed 2 people to help me hold the piece in place whiles i tack it in place. One it's tacked i stared to plastic weld it all the way round making sure it was strong enough.
Whiles i was welding it i welded the two sections of the bumper together.
Below is some pictures of my bumper so far.

http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a274/c2ology2/P130208_155701.jpg
Whiles i was doing that got someone to remove my side bump strips with a hot air gun.
http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a274/c2ology2/P130208_155702.jpg
Next step is to fibreglass filler the section over then a fine layer of bodyfiller to smooth it off.
more updates coming soon.

Stop being gay, for it to be a real euro car its gotta be dropped on coilovers or air as low as it will go!! Just get a set of them JOM ones or what ever they are called. Are about 200 quid.

Looks Awesome! Great work! Another thing, paint the sills black to get rid of the bits of rust, etc. I did this on my C2 as they look shite painted body colour with the underderbody protector half painted on.
Example...

I used black Hammerite on mine :)

Is it me or the light, looks as if the top of the rear bumper isn't sitting correctly, looks as if your top lip is above the bottom of the boot line??
But it looks good never the less
gregwVTS
04-11-2008, 12:32 AM
Aye I was thinking that, have you tried opening the boot yet? :P, but yes it makes it look ten times better.
c2ology
04-11-2008, 12:39 AM
For some reason i don't know why my boot has moved to the left abit i need to re-aline it at some point.
I think the heat has force the rear bumper out of shape abit at the top. I might take it off and put a heat gun to it to push it backdown in the centre of the bumper.
Rear door opens fine it doesn't touch the bumper.
I've started doing the side already but weather been so poor.

Looking good! I love these little things! lol, what size engine isi?
If i were u the next step would be some smooth rounded side skirts to cover the sills and maybe a little lip like the one on the Lupo GTi but then that might ruin the Euro look! Either way I'd also do a black roof and then u got a really nice looking EU Arosa! :)
