 Hey guys! I`ve got one of the few C2s in Moscow and only mine is a bit modded. I`ve bought it in summer and i only had a thousand bucks left for some mods. So i fitted 16 OZ superturismo WRC rims, tinted the windows and rear lights and i`ve made some vinils and decals too, and also changed the front grills. So for the summer i`m planning to fit some sport springs and lower my car for 40-50mm, put an exaust system, some neon under the car, and i`d like to by myself a couple of Sparco bucket seats. So I hope you enjoy this pics....
mmm...sorry i havent figured out how to insert pics so i`ll do it this evening

Welcome! I went to Moscow about 20 years ago, and stayed at the Olympic hotel used by the athletes in the 1980 games. The one with the rocket statue outside. Do you know it? What a wonderful city!
Welcome to the site!
lol @ Jerry. Bless ya!
My brother has played chess in Moscow! (you will all live longer for knowing that uninteresting fact)!

Very nice pics, would love to visit Russia, maybe for my retirement ;)
What engine size is your VTR? :)

Thanks.
It`s 1.6 sensodrive. It`s a shame that they don`t sell VTS in russia. I really wanted one instead

only 15 bhp difference :)
There seems to be a lot of office blocks/flats in the background on your pics?
Concrete city by the looks of it.

Only 15bhp but it has a manual gearbox!! thats the problem - i don`t really like the Sensodrive... it`s a bit slow when you shift
Yes there are a lot of such buildings in Moscow. We don`t have many one-stored houses, almost there aren`t any.
The second and third photo are made at a parking lot in my university...it`s preety far from the center

Yes, manual seems more popular and more reliable.
I'm sure it's a great place to visit, shame it is so far from here! :)
The Club had members all over the world...
UK, Greece, Croatia, Australia, Taiwan, Finland and now Russia :D

I remember going out one night on the Metro and ending up in a suburb somewhere, and it was full of those apartment buildings.
The Metro stations in Moscow are fabulous - loads of marble and glass - just beautiful. I wish I could go back again.
Do you go to Moscow State University? That is a beautiful building too.

Was thinking could you not have nipped out of the country and bought a VTS in a nieghbouring country??
Nice motor though :) Im not a fan of lots of stickers im afraid though :(
The wheels look quite good and ready for the winter ahead :D
I'm liking the black lower front bumper grill, usually see chrome ones but black on black is smart :)
Nice C2 :)
The OZ rims look a bit small, I guess I'm used to seeing 17/18s? I have Cit GT 16s on mine, mind you :).
I like the racing stripes, must say I think It'd go better with a GT grille though!.
Really liking the black mesh on the lower bumper, did you do it yourself? Much trouble?

2 Jeremy_VTR_DG04GJZ. Yup the metro is really nice allright but only when there`s not much people, it`s really annoying going in the metro at rush-hour. No, i go to another university, but my windows face the Moscow State University :)
2 kingpleb. Buying a VTS in another country would be too expensive as our customs duties for new cars are about 30% of the cars price, and i don`t want to spend 23k dollars on a VTS. I`d better modd my VTR
About the Gt grill - we don`t have them in Russia, so i decided to do it my way - just to take off the bumper and to put the mesh instead of the plastic grills. Wasn`t reall difficult to do though, it took me about 2-3 hours to do it 8)
I see you`ve got a lot of c2 variations here in Britain: furio, GT, GTX - you`re all pretty lucky!

Dont look like Oz :? Similar perhaps? :)
snowfreak
02-12-2005, 08:00 AM
they are OZ - but painted superturismo GT`s. I couldn`t buy myself a set of WRC`s, thats why it `s not written OZ on the rim

The Black Mesh is very nice, better than the silver mesh on a black car :D
the viper stripes are rather nice, wasn't sure they would look good when you said you had them in our original post but i like them
welcome to the club by the way, straasvootje (spelling?)

lol, gtx is not a real version by the way.
on the car, like your stripes, but not the stickers. i thought cleaning the 7 spoke GT white alloys where annoying, wouldnt like to be washing them.
nice to see the c2 fan base spreading east.

Looks nice, all those stickers aren't my cup of tea though.
I'd like to visit Russia, anyone up for a road trip? :D

hahaha, classic. GTX
For the road trip, come via Finland and i'll come with you ;) .. A Sad thing is that the roads are in awful condition in Russia... You have to be extremely careful for not breaking your ride.
